Carolina Act (1704) for Protection of Government:

<And for establishing Religious worship according to the Church of England, gave regulations for the erection of Churches, support of ministers, glebes, parishes, and the choice of ministers, vestries, clerks, sextons, and set up an ecclesiastical court having Episcopal powers to remove ministers. Other Acts passed required French settlers to "conform to the Church of England and use a French translation of the Book of Common Prayer."> 1704CA001
