Connecticut (1906) religious affiliation, as reported in The Encyclopedia Britannica, 11th edition, stated:

<In the early part of the 19th century the Congregational Church had the largest membership, but in 1906, three-fifths of the Church population was Roman Catholic and one third of the remainder was Congregationalists, and next ranked Episcopalians, Methodists and Baptists.> 1906CT001
