Edmund Hamilton Sears (April 6, 1810-January 16, 1876) was an American clergyman. He ministered in Wayland, Massachusetts, 1848- 66; and in Weston, Massachusetts, 1866-76.
In 1850, Edmund Hamilton Sears wrote The Angel's Song:
<It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From Angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on earth, good will to men
From heav'n's all gracious King."
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.> 1810ES001
