Missouri (August 10, 1821) 

Missouri (August 10, 1821) was the 24th State admitted to the Union. The Constitution of the State of Missouri, adopted 1945 stated:

<Preamble. We, the people of Missouri, with profound reverence for the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, and grateful for His goodness...establish this Constitution.> 1821MO001

<Bill of Rights, Article I, Section 5. That all men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences.> 1821MO002
