R. Paul Carlson (June 17, 1935-August 19, 2008) was history professor at Maine Township High School (East) in Park Ridge, Illinois, having taught in the township 50 years. He has a B.A. from Monmouth College, M.A. from Northwestern, M.E.D. from College of William and Mary, and L.H.D. from Ripon College. One of his students was a young conservative woman named Hillary Rodham, who later became liberal in college.
